We take great care in packaging and shipping your aquatic animals safely and ethically.

Please review the details below before placing an order.




Shipping Schedule



We ship every Monday and Wednesday to ensure live animals are in transit only during business days.


Orders placed after Wednesday at 11:59 PM will ship the following Monday.




Winter Weather Restrictions



Due to harsh Canadian winters, we only ship when temperatures are above 2°C in both Quebec and your destination.


If your order is delayed due to weather, you’ll be notified, and your shipment will be held until conditions are safe.




Shipping Methods & Costs



  • Free shipping on orders over $99 CAD

  • All live orders ship via overnight or 1-day express

  • Every shipment includes insulated packaging and heat packs in cold weather

  • We currently ship within Canada only





Live Arrival Guarantee (DOA Policy)



We guarantee live arrival if the following conditions are met:


  1. You must email a clear photo of the deceased animal(s) to

    support@blackwateraquatics.ca

  2. Email must be received within 2 hours of delivery confirmation

  3. We will issue a refund for the animal and shipping costs



Refunds will not be issued if:


  • No photo is provided within the time limit

  • The package was left outside or missed on first delivery attempt

  • Delivery conditions were compromised





Limitations & Liability



We are not responsible for delays once the package has been handed to the shipping carrier.


We are also not liable for:


  • Incorrect address input

  • Missed deliveries

  • Weather disruptions or courier-related delays
